Who is the #NextGenMD?
The #NextGenMD is a Patient and Community Advocate. As a Patient and Community Advocate, the #NextGenMD will embody the following competencies:
Patient Advocate
The #NextGenMD understands the importance of helping individual patients and in elevating the health of the community.
Community Educator
The #NextGenMD understands the importance of educating the entire community about health issues. The #NextGenMD has the knowledge and communication skills and is an effective community educator.
Volunteer
The #NextGenMD understands the physician’s obligation to contribute to the community. The #NextGenMD displays personal motivation by seeking opportunities to donate time and expertise to projects that enhance the well being of the community.
