The #NextGenMD has big shoes to fill. It will be a fast paced, evolving field and it's not enough to stay the course. The #NextGenMD must continually challenge themselves to stay current with emerging trends, embrace new technologies, engage on social media, learn new skills, and pursue new paths and opportunities.
The #NextGenMD will need an expanded set of skills than the Physicians of today. First and foremost, a Physician is a Healer. This is the Overarching Umbrella in which the #NextGenMD will operate. There are multiple pillars that form the umbrella the the #NextGenMD must abide by.

The US is facing a severe shortage of doctors. This will not only impact ourselves, but our loved ones, as well. It takes between 7 and 15 years of training before a physician is able to practice. Rural areas will be impacted the most. We must act now!
